GHI is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver who is concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe, timely manner to join our team. You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds of gross vehicle weight (GVW)
Responsibilities:
· Safely operate forklift
· Load and unload cargo
· Properly track and document activity log
· Inspect truck before and after trip
· Ensure that all deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient which involves packing lists, purchase orders or collection of payments
· Responsible for keeping corporate vehicles clean after use
· Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
· Manages daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products
· Deliver small and large metal parts and components to customers in boxes or on skids
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields a plus
· Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
· Commercial driver's license preferred but not required
· Be able to drive different types of trucks from a flatbed pickup to a box truck
· Must be able to understand and read written instructions and or directions in work related documents
· Knowledge of simple operations in window based computer environment; preferred in JobBoss but not required
· Excellent customer service
· Ability to handle physical workload
· Strong work ethic
Suggested hours 7am-3:30. Schedule somewhat flexible. Some over time possible. No overnight trips just local deliveries. Hourly wage $22.00. Please submit resume to [email protected] or complete an online application form through GHI website www.ghilaser.com under the careers tab.
