I've always had faith in the .

🏠Every FORTIFIED home tested by severe weather reaffirms my confidence in the ’s construction standards – principles I’ve dedicated much of my career to. These homes and commercial buildings consistently withstand high winds and torrential rains, sustaining little to no damage.

🌀Hurricane Sally was no different.

〽️ A recent Center for Risk and Insurance Research study, commissioned by the , continues to validate our findings, illuminating consistent cost savings and claims reductions from FORTIFIED homes.

Yet, this is more than just cost savings. These are 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 families who were able to return home after the storm and continue to lead their lives without disruption.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts an active season, so it’s critical homeowners do not delay in strengthening their property against the powerful winds and torrential rain tropical systems bring.
Get started: and garage doors are particularly vulnerable so prioritize reinforcing them to withstand the next storm.
Check your roof for signs of aging that could leave your home susceptible to wind damage. If it’s time to re-roof, ask for to put decades of science into action.

Fact: FORTIFIED is growing and becoming more widespread.
More states are taking proactive steps to help homeowners prepare for severe weather by implementing state grant programs that help homeowners upgrade their roofs to the FORTIFIED standard, proven effective by decades of Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety - IBHS research.
Soon, property owners in Louisiana, Minnesota, Kentucky, Mississippi and Oklahoma can follow Alabama's example by applying for state grants to better prevent storm damage. These residents will join the more than 65,000 FORTIFIED homeowners who strengthened their homes against the weather they face.
