Hello everyone! This page is for people interested in following the progress of The Bully Band, a device designed to catch bullies in the act, created by 12-year-old Molly Deptula. After spending a year getting bullied in school, Molly decided to use her passion for inventing to find a way to solve the problem. With the help of her teachers, she spent a year researching and developing her product in her school's Inventor's Club. She entered her project in her school's Invention Convention and advanced all the way to Nationals this spring, winning 1st Place for 7th Grade Inventor and 3rd Place from the Society of Women Engineers. She spent the first two weeks of her summer vacation using YouTube videos and books to learn how to write her provisional patent application and successfully filed it in July. She now has a year to file a utility patent with the USPTO so she can then get The Bully Band into schools and help empower kids who are being threatened by bullies. Like and Follow this page if you would like to follow her journey. We'll be adding pictures of work she did throughout the year as well as new events as they come up. Thank you all for your support!
