Dear Randy,
Thank you for all the recent work that you did to make this house a home! As you know, we purchased a second home in Wellfleet with plans to make it our retirement home “at some point in the future.” Personal and professional circumstances changed suddenly, thus within a year we sold our home in Connecticut and moved to Wellfleet permanently. The only problem was this house was NOT ready for occupancy (technically we could live there, but the entire first floor cried out desperately for renovation!) I had heard that contractors on the Cape are a) very difficult to find, b) unreliable, and c) very expensive. Fortunately, you are the exception. You called me right back after I left my initial phone message, came right out to the house, and quoted a decent price on a job that was initially merely a vision in my head with no real clue how to implement it. You took that vision, offered some ideas of your own, and created a truly unique and beautiful space.
During the construction process, your strengths became evident: your creativity, ability to adapt to and persist when problems crop up, and your communication skills. You had some amazing ideas about different materials to use during the construction of a wet bar area; dealt good-naturedly with the existing crazy plumbing and pump system; completely transformed the dark and outdated space with new lighting and a professional paint job; and although you were juggling several jobs at once, you always called or emailed so we would know when you could be there to do the work. We were so satisfied with the project, we immediately contracted with you to remodel the bathroom. You applied the same aforementioned strengths to renovate that space completely. Now it looks like something you would see in a magazine. Such a bright and beautiful bathroom we can’t wait for our many houseguests to use (this being Cape Cod, we are suddenly overrun with folks who want to visit!)
Again, thank you for your wonderful work. It has been a pleasure working with you and Crystal—what a great team!
