Before and after of this gable end at a dairy farm. Removed the old siding and Installed fabral metal siding before a huge tank got installed blocking access to wall. All lift work as it was 8’ out of the ground to the bottom. Glad we have them.

When your the gc you have to wear many hats to get the job done. It’s nice having the right tool for the job. In the past it’s be hours with a small hammer drill making tons of holes then chipping it out. The time it takes to set up the core drill and make the hole is about 15 minutes and makes it a lot easier to seal the hole. We will spend money to save time.

Years ago I learned the best way to do the stairs. We fit the skirts against wall, trace out the risers and treads, go to the horses and cut everything. We cut the risers on a small bevel so the outside hits nice. The treads it doesn’t matter. Once all cut we install all risers first then skirts. After everything is all nailed in we can cut the treads square and press them in and it would open up the joint on the risers. Works great and doesn’t take long to do. @ Deerfield, Massachusetts

I can’t wait for mud season to be over. Almost got struck twice today getting in and out of the job. When this truck gets stuck, it’s stuck. Almost 11,000 lbs and the last time it was stuck it took a good friend with a backhoe to get it out. Need a pressure washer! framersareadyingbreed @ Whately, Massachusetts

I’ve had this truck since thanksgiving last year and I’m sad to say this was the first time I washed it.

Unloaded a truck of foam here Sunday night at 7:00 and had to drive it 2000’ from truck to staging area next to 80sq of artisan hardie siding. Anyone figure on not having your materials where your working when bidding the job? Going to take some time to keep moving it to site as we need it.

Another snow storm today. Seems like everyone is ready for spring on IG. We were talking about the worst storm we worked through today at work and this nice throw back Thursday picture came to mind. A few years ago we had a blizzard on a Friday night and by Saturday morning, 20” of snow. Friday we just finished up all the exterior walls on a 18,000sq’ framing job. Used the cat th63 to boom the brute force 650 up to the second floor to plow snow to windows and then snow blow out. Took 9 hrs to clean the deck off. Ton of work.
