Welder/Tank Truck Technician – Boston Steel Division of Tremcar
Location: Haverhill, MA 01832 | Position: Full-Time (40 hours) | Schedule: Monday–Friday 5:30AM-2:00PM, 8-hour shifts

Boston Steel, a division of Tremcar USA, is a leading tank trailer manufacturer in the US. We specialize in producing high-quality tank trailers and trucks for the transportation of oil and gasoline.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Tank Truck Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding aluminum or steel components to assemble structural forms according to blueprints and specifications. While we are looking for this position during down time you will be required to help in the service/production department.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine project requirements.
• Operate power tools.
• Operate TIG and MIG welding equipment.
• Welding tasks will include welding aluminum using both the TIG and MIG technique and steel using the MIG technique.
• Operate plasma cutting machines, rigging equipment, press brake machines, Sheer, and other machinery.
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques to assemble fabricated parts into subassemblies or complete units.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Proven experience as a Welder/Tank Truck Technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using power tools, TIG & MIG welding equipment, plasma cutting machines, rigging equipment, press brake machines, Sheer, and machining tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
• Having your own hand tools is preferred.
• OSHA Certification is a plus.
• Confined space certification is a plus.
• Hot works Certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in the tank trailer industry is a plus.
