We had a great time with Drillers Service - DSI, Headwater Wholesale, and Blake Equipment visiting our shared training center at Granse/Trio Sales, LLC.

These partners took time to learn about the Alderon products and get some advanced technical education. The training center at Granse/Trio Sales, LLC is second to none, with multiple simulations of real world systems all with the purpose of offering training and support for contractors and wholesalers. 🌶️ Alderons Chili Cook-Off 🌶️

Last week we celebrated our 6th annual employee chili cook off. After bouncing around with different dates for a while, we finally discovered National Chili Day—the last Thursday in February.

Over the years we've seen just about every variety imaginable roll through the competition. There’s been:
A four-meat chili (with bacon!)
Steak chili
Catfish chili
The infamous “white chicken chili” (some might call it bean soup 😉)

Every year we keep the sides consistent—milk, sour cream, cheese, honey cornbread, and jalapeño cornbread—to help cool down some of the more ambitious entries. And trust us… the winning chilis usually bring the heat.

This year’s competition had 7 entries, ranging from “Ope, that’s some good chili” all the way to “Did you make this from the hair of the devil?!?” 😅

In a surprise twist, a doctored-up Costco chili took 1st place this year. Meanwhile, the 2nd and 3rd place chilis would’ve made most Scandinavians cry from the heat.

One thing we’ve learned over the years:
The beans-in-chili debate will probably never end.
But we can almost all agree on one thing…
Noodles in chili? That’s just wrong.

It’s always a great time seeing what people bring to the table, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s showdown. 🌶️🏆 If you're a customer looking for a factory tour, Make sure to schedule it around this great event.

Recently Alderon was able to attend the Arizona County Directors of Environmental Health Services Association Southwest Conference. 🏜️🌵

We made some great connections with distributors and contractors while we learned about local regulations and innovations coming to the area. One initiative we found particularly exciting was the Dark Skies Movement, which is working hard to reduce light pollution and help America see the stars. We learned that our Go2 Totalizer Control Panel is already in compliance with regulations by having the ability to turn off our green beacon using our industry leading printed circuit board technology and setup wizard.

These photos of the moon, and Jupiter were taken on a cellphone looking through the telescope lens. We think we saw some remnants of the planet Alderon on on the moon. 🌕

Stay tuned for added features to more of our panels to have this same approval.

Today, Ben—an Alderon employee and volunteer firefighter—hosted a hands-on fire extinguisher training for our team.
We’re committed to investing in our people, helping them feel more confident and prepared not only for workplace incidents but also for real-life situations.
Be sure to check out the photos, and don’t miss the video of one of our fearless leaders, Dan, putting out a gasoline fire. (Fun fact: it’s Dan’s birthday today! Even on his special day, he’s focused on making Alderon the safest, best place to work.) We celebrated with Burgers, Brats, Salads, and Cake for all employees! Happy Birthday, Dan!

Last week was a busy one! Blake took the new Alderon Van on its maiden voyage, while Bob headed to Bismarck for the DSG spring show.

The van went across Minnesota, stopped in Duluth, visited our friends at Wittock Supply and Dyer Septic in Iron Mountain Michigan. Then hosted a product showcase with Rundle Spence in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Next, we made our way to Germantown, Wisconsin for a training and lunch with JMI. Then it was off to the ASPE Spring show in Chicago. Finally we headed home. A quick stop in the Wisconin Dells for a rest stop nap and then back to Hawley. 1450 miles later and the Alderon van
