Over the past year, FLIP and our FLIP test vehicle have been put to the test.

They've survived trials of our egress system for getting to the lunar surface from the top of the Griffin-1 lander. FLIP has withstood intense heat and cold mimicking the conditions of the Moon. The rover has stood up to the vibrations it will deal with during launch.

Now testing is complete. FLIP’s last challenge: the Moon itself.

This rover is now a part of the Astrolab family and legacy. As we prepare to send it off on its lunar journey, a thank you to every engineer, designer, employee, contractor, and more that has brought this rover to this stage.

FLIP, meet your ride to the Moon.

While FLIP was at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory for testing, so was Voyager Technologies's Griffin-1 Lander. As Griffin passed by FLIP's test chamber, we took advantage of this first
meeting for a bonus test. Teams completed a Wi-Fi test, successfully sending 11 commands and a picture through the full data chain.

Next time these two meet, it will be for integration for launch. See you later this year, Griffin.

When our LTV program manager John Muratore requested to hold a space standup night for his 70th birthday, we knew what we had to do. We pulled together a night of nerdy comedy, featuring our NASA Resident Office Lead, Evan Laske, and headlined by John himself at the Los Angeles Improv!

Our FLIP rover has successfully completed EMI/EMC testing at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

These Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility tests ensure that FLIP can withstand the electromagnetic environment of space, and test whether it produces any interference.

One step closer to the Moon.

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration leadership stopped by Astrolab to check out FLIP before it heads to Cape Canaveral for launch later this year. NASA Program Manager for the Moon Base Carlos García-Galán and Chief Architect for the Moon Base Nujoud Merancy toured our clean room with Astrolab CEO Jaret Matthews and gave our rover a send-off.
