Some things are too neat not to share! Last week, Midwest Energy was contacted by law enforcement in Rice County, saying a tree trimmer's bucket truck quit while he was in the air, leaving him stranded. Our Lyons crew responded, and Nate, Apprentice Lineman, went up in his bucket and took a harness to the stranded trimmer, clipping him in before transferring him into the Midwest Energy bucket and lowering him safely to the ground. The trimmer was extremely thankful, and appreciated the help. It's our pleasure, and thank you to Nick, Nate, Brian and Sawyer for stepping up to help!

Do you know an Engineering student looking for an internship next summer? We will have an Engineering Internship from May 2027 - August 2027 at our Hays Corporate Office!

A preferred applicant will be a college student with a sophomore standing or higher, and able to work 40 hours per week next summer from mid-May 2027 through mid-August 2027. The pay rate for this position is $25/hour.
