Happy 20th Anniversary to Caribou Thunder, LLC.

For two decades, Caribou Thunder has stood for resilience, mission focus, integrity, and excellence, supporting national security missions across Defense, Intelligence, Space, and Deep Space domains.

What began with determination, vision, and relentless hard work by Founder & CEO Rita Peterson has grown into a trusted partner built on people, purpose, and performance. Rita’s journey was not defined by the obstacles placed in front of her, but by the strength, courage, and heart she carried through them. She turned adversity into purpose, challenges into momentum, and never lost sight of the mission or the people around her. Through grit, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief in what was possible, she built Caribou Thunder into a trusted partner supporting some of the nation’s most critical Defense, Intelligence, Aerospace, and Space initiatives. Even today, she continues to lead with humility, compassion, and a deep commitment to uplifting those around her.

Today, we celebrate every employee, customer, partner, family member, and supporter who helped make this milestone possible. The journey was never easy; however, always worth it.

Caribou Thunder Attends the Goodwill of Colorado Annual Dinner

As a special guest of 5Star Bank, Caribou Thunder was honored to attend the Goodwill of Colorado Annual Dinner at The Broadmoor alongside business and community leaders committed to creating real opportunity for others. Centered on the theme, “Rooted in Belief. Rising in Community,” the evening was a powerful reminder that changing someone’s life often begins with one thing: someone believing in them.

The stories shared throughout the night were deeply moving — stories of resilience, second chances, and in many cases, first chances ever given. Those moments resonated deeply with Caribou Thunder and our nonprofit, Indigenous Minds, because our mission has always been bigger than business. We believe in creating pathways for underrepresented and underserved communities to rise, succeed, and build a stronger future.

We are grateful to have shared the evening with Shawn Early and Ralph Miller of 5Star Bank, whose belief in people, small business, and community impact continues to make a difference.

Strong businesses are not built alone. Strong communities are not built alone. They are built together — through belief, opportunity, and people willing to lift others forward.

Our country’s National Security, Aerospace, Defense, and Intelligence sectors rely on cutting-edge technology and skilled professionals, but evolving threats and rapid innovation make developing the next generation of talent more urgent than ever. Many students are unaware of the diverse career opportunities in these mission-critical industries — from engineering and cyber security to space operations and policy. Greater visibility can inspire them to pursue paths they may never have considered.

To help bridge this critical gap, Caribou Thunder’s Founder and CEO, Rita Peterson, joined fellow industry leaders at the GlobalMindED Conference in downtown Denver in a dynamic panel discussion highlighting the urgent need to create clear workforce pathways. Their conversation underscored the importance of connecting education, mentorship, and real-world opportunities to build the next generation of talent essential to sustaining our nation’s security and technological leadership.
