From Crisis to Calling: How B369 Construction Is Building Forward in Uncertain Times
In 2020, I was managing portfolios at Roofstock during one of the most volatile periods in recent history. COVID-19 disrupted investment strategies, froze rental income due to government mandates, and forced early-stage firms to close. Properties were neglected, tenants struggled, and owners were left without revenue or support.
That experience exposed deep flaws in our systems, especially in underserved communities. I realized we needed a different kind of company: one that builds, but also restores hope and stability.
In 2021, I launched B369 Construction with a mission to serve people, not just projects. We’re here to pour concrete and build infrastructure, yes, but also to bridge the gap between profit and purpose.
Today, uncertainty still surrounds us:
Persistent inflation
High interest rates
Material shortages
And a workforce crisis that’s now a human rights issue
The impact of ICE raids and immigration enforcement has devastated the construction labor force. Immigrant workers, loyal, skilled, and essential, are disappearing from job sites due to fear of deportation. Projects stall. Small businesses stretch thin. Families live in fear for simply showing up to work.
At B369, we don't ignore this. We protect our people, collaborate with legal advocates, and push for policies that honor the dignity of every worker.
We weren’t built to chase the market. We were built to answer a calling.
In 2020, I saw companies collapse under a broken system. In 2021, I built one rooted in resilience, equity, and service. Today, B369 Construction is more than a builder, we are a stabilizer, a partner, and a voice for those too often left out of the story and now with the addition of B369 Building Bridges our non-profit arm, we are ready to make impact at a wider scale.
If you're a city leader, developer, or investor looking to build something meaningful, let’s talk. The future is still under construction.
Let’s build it together.
