The Skidder front guard and rear hitch are almost done and should be completed this coming week and will then be ready to pull the Aerator through the brush.

There is nothing worse for a young boss than some old or older man who thinks that he doesn't have to listen or do what he's told just because he's older. I dealt with it and now a good friend of mine is dealing with it. The fact is that if you agree to work for a young man then you agree to do what he wants regardless of what you know or think you know. A young boss should seek the council of his older men but if he decides not to use it for whatever reason then that's just how it is.

10' Skid Steer rake will be available to anyone that wants it this coming week, we have inspired many people to make their versions of our rake, but we are the original builders of this style rake which is now in its 3rd generation. Over 300 units sold between the 3 generations without one single failure or warranty claim of any kind.

Good fitting makes for faster more efficient work. Did a machine make this cut ? Yes it did, can we do the same cut by hand ? Yes we can but not near as fast and accurate, we worked for 50 years without these machines and we sure are glad to have them now.

If there is one thing that I have learned in these last few very busy years, it's that the same grind that keeps you up at night and almost kills you mentally and physically is the grind you miss when it's not there anymore. You become addicted to it and when it's gone you feel empty inside like there is a big void, work here at HMS in the last two months has really slowed down. It's allowed me to feel that void and left me to learn to fill it with something else, it's hard to remember just what I filled it with before. I don't know if this work slump will last or if we'll get very busy again, but we are no strangers to hard times as they have always come and gone. No matter what happens we will continue to produce the absolute best of anything we put our hands to, not as if building for man but as if building for the Lord himself. We will continue to make our name be known and stand on the rock that are our principles/standards and continue to strive to bring honor to those who came before us, to those who sacrificed so much so that we can be here today.
