Painter and Painter Helpers
This position will require the painter to regularly walk, bend, reach, touch, feel, handle, hear and talk. The Painter will need to possess the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be comfortable with working on ladders and rooftops.
Pay will be scaled with experience. 2+ years as a commercial painter a plus.
Entry Level painters welcome.
You either need your own transportation or a means to get to the job site on your own.
Able to take instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
Good basic math skills
Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
Conscientious with great attention to detail
High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship is preferred but not needed.
Driver's License is expected for ID reasons.
This job is not under the table. You have a choice of 1099 or 1040.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 to 12-hour shift - per day - depending on workload.
Work Flexibility is Expected.
Your own tools are not Required... but is a plus.
We use Speedflo and Graco paint sprayers
