Marquis was proud to welcome Kathryn Zook, Deputy Director, and Maya Patel, Natural Resources Specialist, from U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of the Chief Economist. Kate and Maya, along with the whole Office of Energy and Environmental Policy team at USDA, were instrumental in efforts to enable corn growers to benefit from adopting efficient and sustainable practices through the 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit. 🌽🇺🇸

During the visit, Marquis presented Mr. Dan Rabe with our first advance payment check, an exciting milestone in our efforts to ensure the value created through efficient regenerative farming practices makes its way back to the farm.

Another round of advance payments goes out this fall, putting millions of dollars into the pockets of 320 local farm families and counting.

Thank you to Secretary Brooke Rollins and the USDA team for putting farmers first and opening new revenue opportunities for producers who improve soil health and strengthen farm resilience.

The 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit connects the farm to the fuel tank, rewarding practices that open new markets, improve air quality, and lower the cost of American-grown fuels for consumers.

Want to know what 45Z could mean for your farm? Contact your local grain elevator or our Marquis Grain Team at [email protected].

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development's Leadership Academy to Marquis for the ILVAC Agriculture Leadership Day, an opportunity for local leaders to explore how innovation, agriculture, and rural investment come together in the Illinois Valley area.

The future of agriculture and energy relies on informed, engaged leaders, and we’re proud to support programs like the Leadership Academy that invest in developing just that. From corn procurement to logistics, we shared how Marquis is powering America’s energy future while supporting our local farm economy.

Thank you to the IL Valley Area Chamber for organizing this program and for including Marquis in the journey to connect local leaders with ag businesses in our region. We’re proud to call this community home and grateful to help shape this generation of leadership in our surrounding area and beyond.
