With it being HHS Graduation week, it’s an excellent opportunity to highlight an outstanding graduate and his special “signing” with the University of Oklahoma!
HHS Senior, Noah Huckabay, has been awarded an incredible opportunity to begin his college career. Noah was accepted into the prestigious University of Oklahoma Aviation School. OU’s School of Aviation is ranked as the #1 university for an aviation degree!
BUT, even more impressive, is that Noah has been selected for an ELITE flight slot in the Professional Pilot program within the OU School of Aviation!!!!
OU is very blunt that their aviation students should NOT count on a flight slot within their Professional Pilot Program. They advise their students to have multiple other plans in place, as very few students are accepted into their Professional Pilot Program.
Our Mr. Noah Huckabay was one of over 1,200 applicants who received one of the sought after 150 flight slots available!! This means that Noah is guaranteed to be FLYING his freshman year. Isn’t that incredible??!! Most freshman students are just trying to adjust to college life, but Noah will be entrusted with flying an aircraft…in the sky…as a freshman…
If that doesn’t tell you the promise they see in Noah and the belief and trust they have in him, we don’t know what does!
The selection process was highly competitive and extensive. OU admission standards are based largely on Academic Rigor followed by Engagement (community, extracurricular, work) and then their Essay and Letter of Recommendation. If you know Noah, you understand why he would be considered among the top applicants in these areas. Noah’s lifelong love of flying, his character, his preparation for this opportunity, and his desire to be a professional pilot is all coming together for this next chapter of his life.
We couldn’t be more proud of ALL of Noah’s many accomplishments over his HPS journey! We are thrilled for the future that lies ahead for him.
