Turn OFF those heat pumps! Use your oil! Pipes WILL freeze if the warm water isn't circulating through them! And trust me... you DO NOT want that! It will cost much more to fix than oil use for a few days!!

PSA..... if you have BaseBoard heat or Forced Hot Air KEEP IT RUNNING for the next 48 hours! Heatpumps and wood/pellet stoves, space heaters and opening your oven door WILL NOT keep your pipes from freezing! And I guarantee burning oil to keep your house warm will be cheaper than frozen pipes!
Also the gauge on your oil barrel is just that... a gauge... it's not meant to be accurate to the very last line...... we want to help our customers in need but Doug can't be everywhere.... Stay warm folks!

Happy February! With the temps staying LOW and prices staying HIGH, we want to remind everyone that there are emergency funds available for anyone struggling to pay for fuel. We are partnered with LIHEAP and Penquis Cap. Give them a call or access their information from our website www.sinclairshomeheating.com
It's not too late to get assistance.
Also, keep in mind.... heat pumps will not efficiently heat your home when the temps outside are below 25-30 degrees. Also, turning down your boiler and using wood etc. to heat your home, when you have hot water baseboard, can cause your pipes to freeze during these temperatures. One more thing.... pulling furniture out away from the baseboard a few inches, and making sure registered aren't blocked by clothes baskets or shelves etc. will also help to warm up your home faster and more efficiently too. Stay warm everyone! And remember we offer emergency service for our oil customers. Thank you for being a part of our heating family!
