Stop by our plant today to complete an application. 1800 West Oak Street, Herrin, IL. At NEI, our manufacturing system is a unique mixing / drying process that produces food grade Calcium Phosphate. Your workplace at NEI is clean, safe and you will receive training. In this General Labor / Machine Operator role at NEI you will be part of the entire process from start to finish. Your work will follow the production schedule and may include unloading trucks, machine operation, mixing, bagging, milling, loading and cleaning. Advancement from this role to supervisor is available based on your performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Perform a variety of general manual labor tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., moving materials and material set-up
· Manually operate machines and inspect finished products
· Maintain a constant and consistent count of materials
· Ensure all paperwork and production records are in order, completed correctly and accurately
· Ensure all lot codes and placards are accurate
· Ensure all raw and packaging materials according to the work order are available prior to beginning production
· Perform simple lab tests per instruction
· Operate a fork-lift, man-lift, power tools and hand tools as needed
· Follows all GMP regulations and safety guidelines
· Ensures Supervisor/Team Lead is aware of any deviations and mechanical issues
· Comfortable in an industrial work environment
Requirements:
• High school education or able to demonstrate progress on getting a GED
• Physically able to stand, lift or walk for an entire 8- or 10-hour shift
• 2 years’ continuous work in a factory with machine operation experience preferred
• No felonies
