We were on the news!

We’re excited to share that Fox 21 News recently stopped by our shop to take a closer look at what we do here at Electric Power Door.

It was a great opportunity to give people a behind-the-scenes look at our operation, our people, and the work that goes into every door we build.

6 tons. 9 ½" thick. 445 PSI blast rated.

Building a blast door this substantial isn't just about the steel—it's about how every component is engineered and manufactured to work together.

Take a closer look at the hinges and latching mechanism on this bi-swing blast door and see how we make a 6-ton door practical to operate manually.

Our team had a great time last week at the Iron Mining Association of Minnesota Golf Outing at Giants Ridge ⛳ We even put people to the test with our Precision Putting Challenge.

A big thank you to IMA and Giants Ridge for another great event!

We make doors. Not golf clubs. But we had to make an exception.

Our team built something a little different for the upcoming Iron Mining Association of Minnesota Golf Outing.

Think you can sink a putt with the EPD Putter?

Project Spotlight: Frank J. Guarini Justice Complex

The newly opened Frank J. Guarini Justice Complex represents a significant investment in modern judicial infrastructure, designed to support secure and efficient court operations for Hudson County.

Electric Power Door was selected to provide our hydraulic four-fold sally port door system for this landmark project. Engineered for high-security environments, our hydraulic door systems deliver the reliable performance and durability required for secure vehicle access and controlled movement within justice and detention facilities.

For decades, EPD has partnered with architects, contractors, and facility owners to design and manufacture custom-engineered door systems for some of North America's most demanding applications.

We're proud to have played a role in a project that will serve the community for generations to come.

This week, we’re looking back at a door we manufactured in 1931 — and it’s still in operation today.

For nearly a century, this door has continued to do the job it was built for, standing as a testament to durable engineering, quality craftsmanship, and long-term reliability.

At Electric Power Door, longevity has never been an afterthought. From the beginning, our focus has been on building doors that perform year after year, decade after decade.

There’s something special about seeing equipment built generations ago still working today — and we’re proud to be part of that legacy.

More projects are within reach—when you team up with EPD!

At Electric Power Door, we manufacture custom, heavy-duty door systems that open the door to more complex projects—from sallyport systems to blast-resistant doors to large-scale vertical lift and sliding doors.

Built for high-security, high-demand environments, our doors are engineered to meet strict specs—so you can:
✔ Qualify for more bids
✔ Meet higher performance requirements
✔ Compete for work that was previously out of reach
If you’re ready to expand what you can bid on, let’s talk.
