Fecon Stumpex and John Deere 332 vs Stump

The Fecon Stumpex SHX33SX can process stumps between 8 and 28 inches in diameter and up to 20 inches deep in a single pass. For stumps larger than 28 inches, additional passes are required.
Maximum Torque: Up to 33,600 ft-lb. It's a bad bad man.

Hey so I know it's been a longer week and time in between posts but I again wanted to touch on the way people need to deal with structural removal of stumps and what it takes to remove the liability of decomposition and or ground disturbance without the scope and how long it can potentially take and how expensive the remedies are. First off Im going to share some pictures from the post from the other day so people can see the enormity of some root balls . Especially white oak, hickory and walnut . Then I'm going to share some afters of taking it down and then I'm going to show some pictures of another way to remediate them. Mind you the stumps I'm currently dealing with are t required for structural because if they were I would simply evacuate the cavity and backfill with aggregate in 6-8 lifts with mechanical compaction in between but I promise you. Time, labor, wear and efficiency isn't close.

Measure twice pull once. Bubba rope vs tree like 800-0 Makes it look simple and anticlimactic but I guess that's better than the alternative lol

In Conover wanted to share some pictures of a gnarly root ball. Rare that I actually think about taking a picture to show people how crazy a root ball can be when dealing with stumps in areas where you need suitable surface preservation afterwards. This is just one way the process starts but with this level of ground disturbance it would take a lot of compaction and aggregate to achieve anything relating to a spot for any type of permanent construction. Will follow up tomorrow with another post with the more preferred method in my opinion. www.assurancedd.com
