Apparose Forge

Unfortunately, the company that insures the building which houses Apparose Forge has informed the owner of the building that the gas operated equipment must be removed or the insurance will be cancelled. This means no forge or gas cutting or welding. the new line of campfire/fireplace tools is on hold indefinately. I cannot forge knives, tommahawks, birdfeeder stands or anything that must be heated. Heat treating anything is no longter an option. I am sorry for any inconvinence to my customers. Those that have orders already in will be contacted by me personally and no more orders will be taken until I canget something else going. I'll let everyone know as soon as I can what is going to happen.

I wanted to let everyone know I am planning a line of campfire/firepit tools, such as pokers, cooking plates, roasting spits and other impliments. If anyone has an Idea or need please let me know!!!

Conersation in my shop;;
Customer: How much ??
Me: $55.00
Customer: Wow, thats a lot for a knife.
Me: Not really if you comsider that a higher end knife from Wal-Mart can cost $100.00 and it is just like thousands of others out there.
Customer; Yeah, but, how much do you charge per hour ?
Me: I don't charge foir my time I charge for my work.
Customer: Ok, what's stopping me from ordering a kit online and making my own?
Me: Nothing other than skill, equipment and time. Certainly not me.
Customer: I think I'd rather do that than pay you $ 55.00 !!
Me: Your decision, good luck.
TWO MONTHS LATER
Customer: How much to fix this kit knife? I just couldn't get it right.
Me: $100.00

Gee, funny how things work out huh???

Just to let everyone know, I have some swords for sale and will post pics asap. These are NOT made by Apparose Forge. They are wallhangers or props for reenactors. Some are sharpe and all come with leather sheaths. I am not asking a large amount for them and they may make good CHRISTmas gifts. To be honest, I need some working capital for the business and this is one way I am trying to work around to buy steel and tools. Check back for the pics, Thanks everyone!!
