Arcadis celebrated the groundbreaking of the Windsor Woods Pump Station in Virginia Beach, a major milestone in helping protect residents and businesses by strengthening long-term community resilience in this flood-prone area.

This new facility will help manage the combined impacts of heavy rainfall, high tides, and storm surge. The project builds on previous flood protection investments and advances the City's vision for a more resilient future.

Arcadis serves as the design partner on the progressive design-build team led by Flatiron-Dragados. As the program's advanced monitoring and operational assets come online, they are expected to integrate with Virginia Beach's emerging Stormwater Operations Control Center, a digital platform designed to unify forecasts, sensor data, hydraulic models, and operational decision-making into a single flood management framework.
