Being ‘Proactive’ and not ‘Reactive’ can save you lots of money and headache when it comes to certain mechanical items in your home!
While servicing this long time customer’s HVAC, we noticed a major fluctuation in water pressure, and expected to find a faulty well tank, and we did…..at just over 5 years old. The customer also noted the 15+ year age of the water heater.
A few days later, we replaced the well tank with a new Well-X-Trol tank (much higher quality than the Pentair, and a 7-year warranty), and the water heater with a new Bradford White water heater. Thank goodness we did this now. Based on the amount of rust that came out of the old water heater, it was only a matter of time till this customer had a flooded basement.
