Project Spotlight: Cedar Lane Safety Improvements, Florence Township, NJ

Van Cleef is proud to have partnered with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) to deliver critical maintenance and safety upgrades along Cedar Lane and at Structure No. P2.03S.

Serving a corridor with heavy warehouse activity, Cedar Lane experiences significant large truck traffic. Existing roadway curvature and width created safety concerns, including centerline encroachments and repeated guide rail impacts. Additionally, erosion and outdated infrastructure further impacted roadway performance.

Our team designed and implemented targeted improvements to enhance safety and functionality, including:

✅ Roadway widening to better accommodate truck traffic
✅ Resurfacing and restriping for improved visibility
✅ Replacement of damaged guide rail and parapet connections
✅ Drainage, curb, and slope restoration
✅ Installation of updated curve advisory signage and speed postings
✅ Structural repairs to Structure No. P2.03S
✅ Completed in May 2026, this project significantly reduces roadway risk and provides a modernized, safer corridor for all users.
