Safety doesn’t stop at the jobsite.

This week for AED & CPR Awareness Week, Nate shared a quick hands-only CPR refresher because knowing what to do in an emergency matters. You hope you never need it, but being prepared could save a life.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten, and we remain forever grateful for the freedoms they helped protect. As we gather with family and friends, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and have a safe holiday weekend.

Milestones like this are built long before the concrete is poured.

Submitted by Harsh Patel as part of our monthly photo challenge, this image of a slip pour on Randall Road captures a major project milestone made possible through months of planning, coordination, and dedication.

From preconstruction and project planning to field ex*****on, moments like these represent the hard work of many individuals working toward a common goal. We’re proud to recognize the teamwork and commitment that helped bring this project to this stage.

Mental health is an important part of workplace safety and overall well-being. 💚

In the construction industry, we often focus on the physical demands of the job, but it is just as important to recognize the mental and emotional challenges many people face both on and off the jobsite.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to continue building a culture where people feel supported, respected, and comfortable speaking up when they need help. A simple conversation or check-in can make a meaningful difference.

If you or someone you know may be struggling, resources are available: https://988lifeline.org/

Taking care of our people will always be one of the most important investments we can make.

As Construction Safety Week comes to a close, the message remains the same: safety is not a one-week initiative—it is a daily commitment.

This week highlighted the importance of planning, communication, accountability, and teamwork on every jobsite. We are proud of the employees, crews, and leaders who continue to build a strong safety culture by looking out for one another and making safe decisions every day.

Thank you to everyone who helps make safety a shared responsibility across our projects and operations.

Planning is critical to everything that happens on a construction project—but it doesn’t stop once the work begins.

Respecting the plan means more than following a set of instructions. It requires continuous awareness, open communication, and the willingness to reassess when conditions change. It also means empowering every team member to speak up and use Stop Work Authority when something doesn’t feel right.

By committing to the planning process at every stage, we help prevent serious incidents and eliminate hazards before they become risks.

Construction Safety Week’s theme today, Respond, highlights the importance of being prepared, aware, and ready to act.

At Plote, response starts with training, communication, and a shared commitment to looking out for one another. Whether it’s identifying a potential hazard or reacting in real time, our teams understand that quick, informed responses are critical to maintaining a safe jobsite.

We’re proud of the people who make safety a daily practice and respond when it matters most.
