Do you enjoy microgreens and sustainable farming? Our Product Owner, Daniel Luyk, owns "Plant Lab" an indoor farming experiment in Holland, MI. Our team had the chance to receive an exclusive tour, and it was an amazing experience. From cutting-edge technology to sustainable practices, we were truly inspired. We have 3 team members celebrating work anniversaries in the month of December.

James originally worked with us as a contractor before joining us full-time. He has been a part of the SpinDance for 11 years and is up for any challenge. Most recently he became an Engineering Manager and loves coaching others.

Daniel joined the team four years ago as a Project Manager, but quickly showed how valuable he is in the Product Owner role. It is fun to watch him in sessions with customers as they navigate software decisions.

Ben is our Director of Engineering and we are so happy to have his skill set. He excels as a coach and mentor while bringing extensive knowledge within the software industry.

Another spicy success at our annual chili cook-off!

Today, our team came together for the much-anticipated chili cook-off contest, and it was a mouthwatering journey through a spectrum of flavors! From mild to wild, our participants showcased their culinary prowess with an impressive array of chili varieties.

A heartfelt congratulations to Derrik Fleming for claiming the title and earning the prestigious Golden Ladle! Your chili skills are truly extraordinary, and the honor is well-deserved.

A huge shoutout to all the participants who brought their A-game to the table. Each chili was a delightful fusion of spices, love, and creativity, making the competition fierce and flavorful.

How do you connect with your entire team to make sure you are delivering what they need? For the last 7 years, SpinDance has consistently asked our team for annual feedback. We then use the results to help drive our annual planning efforts. We cover topics such as growth, empowerment, recognition, and feedback.

Our team at SpinDance is dedicated to growing diversity within the computer software industry. One of the programs we enjoy engaging with is Girls Who Code. This organization's goal is to build the largest pipeline of future female engineers. Our team designs and executes hands-on exercises for students to engage and ask questions while they learn. If you haven't had the chance, check them out!

Learn to code! Free summer programs and after-school clubs for teen girls. Explore coding in a fun and friendly environment. Find a program near you!
