Last Thursday, we were excited to welcome 31 kids (ages 1.5–15) into our office for Take Your Child to Work Day! It was a fun‑filled day that gave the kids a chance to spend time with their parents while learning more about what we do.

The day began with a Dee Cramer quiz, a look back at our company’s history using custom coloring books, and a quick Stretch & Flex safety review. The kids then toured our office and shop, learned about our departments, and watched how spiral duct is formed.

After the tour, the kids put their creativity to work during a house‑building competition, where teams used cardboard boxes and craft supplies to design and decorate their structures. Office staff voted on creativity and design, with bonus points for HVAC incorporation.

Next, we headed to the warehouse to decorate custom toolboxes, each laser‑cut with their name. Armed with paint, stickers, and a hammer to pound in the seams, the kids made their toolboxes truly their own.

We wrapped up the day with a scavenger hunt and touch‑a‑truck event in the parking lot, featuring a semi-truck and trailer, service vans, a PM car, and a Dee Cramer pickup truck. The first team to find all 40 hidden HVAC items won! The day ended on a high note with pizza and ice cream.

We love hosting events like this. Creating memories, sparking curiosity, and opening doors to hands‑on careers is something we’re proud to be a part of!

Last week, our team came together to celebrate the retirement of one of our most committed and longest‑serving employees, Pete Shipman. And today, Pete officially marked his final day with Dee Cramer.

For 38 years, Pete has been a steady, trusted presence within our organization. His knowledge, attention to detail, and unwavering reliability have made a lasting impact on our team and the customers we serve. Pete’s thoughtful approach and dependable nature have earned him the respect and appreciation of team members across the company.

Beyond the job itself, Pete has been the kind of colleague everyone appreciates; humble, hardworking, and genuinely good to be around.

We’re grateful for everything he’s contributed over nearly four decades, and we were proud to celebrate this milestone with him. Please join us in wishing Pete a long, healthy, and well‑earned retirement. He will always be part of the Dee Cramer family.

Paul Isaacs was a bright light and a smiling face everywhere he went. If Paul had a bad day, you never knew it. He was always ready to share a smile or a story, and loved conversing about his love for his dogs and his garden.

Paul passed away on Friday, March 6th unexpectedly and to say the Dee Cramer family will miss him tremendously is an understatement.

Paul was passionate about everything he did. He was a beloved co-worker and friend. Paul had the biggest heart and one of the pictures we share is from a volunteer event he attended with United Way and some other Dee Cramer team members. It was just the kind of person he was - big hearted and happy to help in any way.

Paul will be forever missed by his wife, Stacey, daughters Lindsey and Logan, his beloved dogs, his Dee Cramer family, and many other friends and family members. A Celebration of Life for Paul will take place at a later date.

Even though Paul had only been at Dee Cramer for a year, his positive attitude, sense of humor, and his smile made a huge impact on everyone.

We will remember Paul and the bright light he brought to all of our lives forever.

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Saginaw Career Complex to our Holly shop. About 40 high schoolers spent the morning touring our facility, asking thoughtful questions, and getting a real‑world look at what working in a sheet metal shop is all about. It was great having their energy and curiosity in the building.

It’s an honor to help introduce the next generation of tradespeople to the craft. Sharing what we love about this industry with students who might one day join it is one of the best parts of these visits.
