A straight line of poles. That’s where a good pier starts.
Getting those piles set right takes precision—and this CAT makes a big job a whole lot easier. Another day on the water, another pier taking shape.

That sunrise though… our office comes with a pretty great view.
Out early to frame and deck a pier—and grateful we get to work in a place this beautiful.

Is your marine contractor keeping up with Maryland’s ever-changing regulations, guidelines, techniques, and continuing education requirements? 🌊

At Gibbons Marine Construction, we believe staying current is just as important as the work we do in the field.

We just wrapped up our continuing education with Salisbury University, completing 16 credit hours focused on Living Shorelines and shoreline erosion control.

It was a great opportunity to learn from experts in the field, discuss new and evolving approaches, and connect with other marine contractors from across Maryland who are facing many of the same challenges in their local waterways.

Regulations and best practices continue to evolve, and we want to make sure we’re evolving with them. From permitting and design to construction techniques and environmental considerations, continuing education helps us better serve our customers and protect Maryland’s waterways. 🌿

When you hire a marine contractor, make sure they’re keeping up with the industry—not just the work.

Day 1 complete! 🌊
We spent the day learning more about shoreline erosion control and how the right approach can help protect homeowners, their property, and the shoreline itself.
And sometimes, it’s not just the homeowners we’re protecting…this little blue heron has been hanging around Solomons for the past few weeks, so we thought he deserved a shoutout too!
Protecting shorelines, protecting property, and protecting the little guys that call them home. 🐦🌿

The tide doesn’t wait, and neither do we.
Before most alarms go off, we’re already making moves. This morning started long before sunrise as we pushed the barge out to catch the tide—because on the water, timing is everything.
Early mornings, smooth water, and a crew that’s always ready to get the job done right with a serious commitment behind every project we take on. That’s the difference with Gibbons Marine.
