Another big project in the books. This was a complete attic remodel. I'll tell you what... the amount of angles in this place made it a very difficult project to tackle but one we overcame anyway. Might have been frustrating at times but all those angles that made things hard were the same thing that made it look amazing and architectural afterwards!!!

Took down all the old shiplap and blow in insulation. Completely took out a wall and moved it back to make the room bigger. Raised the ceiling to be a 12 ft vaulted ceiling. Moved back all the supporting walls to open the room up as much as possible. Had to tear the stairs out to get drywall up there then rebuild new stairs. Then put in new insulation, drywall, mudded, shot texture, painted and installed doors, trim and baseboard.

Got a call to repair some rotten siding and ended up finding a bunch of termite damage on the rim plate in a couple spots that actually was affecting the structural safety of the house. Repaired all the termite damage and then tore off all the siding, re-sided the house and then continued to finish up by painting it. Looks like a completely different house with a good coat of paint. It's such a privilege to get to see the transformation over several weeks that a house takes from start to finish.

Haven't posted in awhile because we have been keeping busy with projects but here is a deck that was sagging in the middle and the entire front was sinking that we leveled and lifted and partially rebuilt. The front side had to be lifted about 5" to establish level with a slight slope for watershed. As you can see.... The support legs were completely rotten.

We were hired a few weeks ago to build a deck for a sweet lady in Effingham. As soon as we got done she asked if we painted houses. So we ended up also scraping and repainting her house and installing a storm door. This house got a total face lift! 😃

Set some cabinets on an incredibly uneven slanted floor. Had to raise it up the thickness of a 2×4 in some spots! It was not easy but we got it level. Next challenge was the owner wanted to use the old countertop top but the wall was out of square and the counter was cut to fit the old counters so it was not cut even on the edges so we had to custom fashion white wood end caps to to extend the counter top and bevel out the back to lay over the part of the cabinet that extended past the counter and cover uneven gaps on the back side since the wall was out of square and then make it all look pretty. Got it done though. Mission accomplished!

Been working on a house out in Hoyt. So far we have finished redoing their basement and are moving on to the upstairs. We tore out carpet. Took out old speaker wiring and cable outlets and did drywall work to patch them up. Stained new trim to match the old. Repainted the entire basement and then laid flooring. Brand new look! Now on to the upstairs!

We've been keeping pretty busy lately with various projects. Ripped out an old leaky door and put in a new one for a family. No more water leaking into the basement. I keep forgetting to take the before photos 🤦 I'll get better

Then we tore out an old acoustic tile ceiling that got a ton of damage from a hot water line bursting and the house filling with steam. Made sure we took player down that was loose and then put new tiles up and repaired some of the trim.

Next we tore out a basement wall to open up the stairs so they can move furniture into the basement, and we put up a support beam because it was a load bearing wall.

More projects to come!

Just recently finished up a complete revamp of a house near Mayetta for a customer. The house needed new decking on the roof, new shingles, new fascia and soffit, completely gutted, new insulation, drywall, texture, paint, redid the cabinets, new floors.... Just about everything. This place was a mess, but with a lot of love, shined up real nice.
