Quick fall reminder: give your GFCI outlets an actual test this week — the ones in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, and around the harbor/dock. Press the "test" button and the power should cut off instantly; then hit "reset" to bring it back. If it won't trip, or won't reset, that outlet has stopped protecting you from shock — time to swap it. Thirty seconds now beats finding out the hard way on a wet Homer evening. If yours fails, give us a call — we stock replacement GFCIs and can swap them out for you.

Give each heater its own wall outlet, and skip the extension cords if you can.
