Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country and our freedom.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who never made it home, and to recognize the families who continue to carry that loss every day.

Today we were asked to build an emergency overhead meter base setup with almost no notice. Instead of saying “tomorrow,” the entire AC/DC Electrical Supply and Service team jumped into action, worked together, and made it happen.

We take pride in doing whatever it takes to help keep our community powered up safely and quickly — even when the clock says quitting time.

Huge thank you to the crew for stepping up and making it happen. That’s the kind of teamwork and dedication we believe in.

Some jobs are more than just work they turn into memories you’ll never forget.

This week we had the opportunity to head across the bay to an off-grid bear viewing camp and it reminded me exactly why we love what we do. From helicopters flying over the coastline, to working in the middle of true wilderness, this was one of those “only in Alaska” experiences.

The best part of it all was bringing my kiddo along for the adventure. Watching him experience his first helicopter ride, seeing the mountains, ocean, and wild country from the air, and then getting to safely see a massive brown bear in its natural habitat… that’s something neither of us will ever forget.

Sometimes the long days, rough weather, and off-grid jobs are absolutely worth it. Alaska has a way of reminding you how wild and incredible this place really is.

Feeling pretty thankful today for family, for adventure, and for the opportunity to do electrical work in some of the most beautiful places on earth.

🔌 Inspect cords and plugs for fraying or damage before use
