Our crews are out early this morning sanding Borough-maintained roads in Units 7 & 8 — everything east of Homer.

Road conditions are changing fast, and we’re working hard to stay ahead of it. Please drive with caution, keep at least 100 feet behind equipment, and be respectful to the operators.

East Road Services will be working on frozen culverts near the golf course. Flaggers will be on-site—please slow down and follow their instructions to keep everyone safe. Drive carefully!

If you have alders weighed down with snow, please knock the snow off to ensure safe access for the plow operator. Driveways that are not cleared will not be plowed.

We have crews out plowing those on our auto plow list as well as borough roads in units 7&8 (east of Homer) currently. Please be aware and thank you for being patient as we work to clear the snow.

❄️ Please note if you have drooping alders over your driveway please knock snow off, if at all possible, of them to avoid damage to our equipment. If we can’t make it down your driveway we will make it back when conditions improve ❄️

**August 13, 2024** Please be aware of workers, heavy machinery and flaggers on Lake St. as we continue with the Ben Walters side walk improvement project. Please use alternative route if possible.

There will be a lane closure on Lake Street as it crosses between Beluga Lake and Beluga Slough on Thursday, 7/11/2024. from 9:00 am through approximately 4:30 pm.

Due to a failing patch from a previous waterline repair, we are undertaking this repair to the road. The urgency arises from the need for a specific asphalt mix and a narrow weather window suitable for application.

On behalf of the Public Works Department, we apologize for the short notice.
