A nice article on the Gulfport Casino Marina Piers Dockmasters partnered to build. This pier required a 120 ton crane to lift and place the concrete floating docks and 16 inch steel piles as well as standard knuckle boom crane for the demo and rebuild of the 75 wooden pilings and Snap Decking decked walkout. We once again partnered with KM2H for both companies to bring their skillsets and equipment to work together seamlessly to complete the project on time and on budget.

This project was rewarding to the crews as we enjoyed the support of the locals every day of the project. We watched the dinghy guys trying to move from their boats to shore while the old dock was unusable and literally the minute we opened the new dock we had 3 dinghy's using it to get to their liveaboards and other folks fishing from it. Not all projects receive such great support from the community, this one felt good.

We can taste dinner at Pia's already. The City of Gulfport officially reopened the docks at the Historic Gulfport Casino this week, welcoming recreational

Here's a preview of the new Three Sisters Springs boardwalk being built by Dockmasters. When complete it will be 1,500 feet long with 5 observation decks (one is in this video). Right now we're doing the base boardwalk, handrails will be added in a few weeks. This boardwalk is being built out of concrete components to outlast the old wooden one by decades.

Out with the old.... Dockmasters started the removal phase of the Three Sisters Springs boardwalk today. We'll be spending the next 8 months here taking out the old wooden boardwalk and replacing it with a concrete boardwalk from Perma Trak and constructing 5 new observation platforms overlooking the Springs.
We're doing this project in 3 sections so that 2 sections (1,000 feet) will always be open for visitors to the park. Working an entire project from land is a welcome treat and this project will be equipment intensive with each concrete component weighing at least 1,400 pounds.

Dockmasters was called in to drill boathouse pilings into the rocky sea bottom in Kings Bay. Sometimes we build the entire structure, other times we help out other General Contractors who don't have the specialty equipment needed for building docks and boathouses in Citrus County. The dual boathouse will be holding a 39' Yellowfin and 26' bay boat.
