The purpose of TCEC’s social media pages are two-fold: 1) To help connect members with each other in ways related to our mission of powering out communities – every member, every time, and 2) To educate and inform the general public, legislators, emergency responders, media, and civic groups on the role and purpose of our cooperative’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy to every member while investing in the communities we serve. We welcome and encourage your comments. To keep the discussion in the cooperative spirit, we have developed guidelines for our social media followers. Please note TCEC reserves the right to remove any post we feel does not support the values described in the guidelines offered below. The following types of comments are discouraged and may be removed at any time at the discretion of TCEC:
• Any post we believe to be inappropriate, rude, offensive or that contains vulgar language or personal attacks of any kind;
• Unsolicited advertising and comments that include advertising links to other sites; advocating illegal activity, promoting particular services, products, political or advocacy organizations, or that infringe on copyrights or trademarks;
• Those who repeatedly post inappropriate content will be blocked from commenting on this page;
• Likes, follows and interactions are not endorsements. TCEC is neither responsible for the content nor endorses any site which has a link to or from this page;
• Please do not post any personal information. You risk your own security and privacy. TCEC cannot guarantee that private information shared on social media pages will be protected;
• While staff strives to keep a watchful eye on all social media interactions, there may be occasions that responses will be delayed outside of normal business hours.
