Community Service Initiative – Bellingrath / Connecting Life Center

Over the past few weeks, K. McGhee Construction Corp and the Keltric D. McGhee Foundation have been volunteering our time, labor, and resources to assist with restoration efforts at the Connecting Life Center (formerly Bellingrath Community Center) in Montgomery, AL.

After the building suffered fire damage, we stepped in to help with demolition, debris removal, and the early stages of rebuilding—working alongside community members and local leaders to bring this important facility back to life.

Our goal is simple: to serve, rebuild, and give back to the same neighborhoods that helped shape us. Every nail, board, and beam we lift represents our belief that restoration is more than construction—it’s community healing in action.

We’re proud to stand with Montgomery and look forward to seeing this center once again become a safe, active space for youth, families, and organizations that make a difference every day.
