This is project we recently did in Lake Elmo. There was water damage from ice dams which are common this time of year in Minnesota. The green color you see is the old color of the basement. We switched it out to a Cocoa color from Sherwin-Williams' high quality Duration line. Easy to paint with and durable. Excellent product. All the old brown stained base and casing around doors and windows were removed and we will be replacing it with white trim and casing so that the basement will look modernized with a nice “pop”. When we came into this job the faces of the soffits were also textured popcorn. We chose to remove that and only have popcorn on the ceiling areas. For that we scraped and skimmed the soffit faces and painted them as well. It gives it a real modern 3D feel and everything looks purposeful. Project took 3 days without the special order trim. We ripped out old drywall in some of the ceilings, sheetrocked, taped, sanded, re-sprayed the ceilings, and painted in that time. About a 1100 sq. ft basement.
