Bob Kempkes and Anthony Taylor founded the firm in 1986 after moving to Hot Springs from Denver and Memphis respectively. We believe that architecture is a profession that should be practiced as generalists, not specializing in any one area, but encompassing the whole spectrum of building types. Each project represents an opportunity to explore areas of human endeavor new to us or to reexamine fam

iliar ones. Architecture is first and foremost a process of problem solving. It is our practice to integrate the problem solving process within a building’s sociocultural and physical context, arriving at a solution that is ultimately user friendly and understandable.
