5 years in business.... It always seems to be the benchmark- "the first 5 years are the hardest, 50% of small businesses do not make it beyond the first 5 years" etc.
Well it happened. And currently more busy than ever. No signs of slowing up. Something I am extremely proud of and will go to lengths to protect. I have truly celebrated each month that I can pay all the bills- and do it again. Its something I will not take for granted or get complacent doing.
Starting with around $400 cash, a credit card with a 10k limit, 400sq/ft storage unit space, and a bench top machine I built up to flip and buy a better spindle. I didn't think about starting a business much before just doing it.. just did it.
2 different shop locations, the shop size and rent has gone up 4 times, I have picked up and used 22 different machines to make parts on... Always taking advantage of an opportunity to better our process and equipment has been a key factor to keep advancing in this industry. "All in" time and time again...
Currently we have 5 machines, with another on the horizon- There are 2-3 others here besides myself here most days, and we are eating up work because all of us are passionate about making, and delivering parts.
