Adding a generator to an industrial facility? Before installation, there are three key things to consider:

𝗨𝘀𝗲: Will it be used for emergency or non-emergency purposes?
𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Is your facility in an attainment or non-attainment area?
𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘁: What is the PTE of the generator—and the overall project?

Together, these factors can help determine whether an air construction permit is needed. And because permitting requirements can vary by location and project scope, it’s worth looking at them early.
