The weather is still permitting. Warm weather this late is a great opportunity to have your door refinished before winter sets in. I take the door down to bare wood and refinish so the wood. grain pattern is visible again.

Before and after. This door was actually peeling (not fading). The previous contractor used a non oil based stain on the door that was very time consuming to remove. The final results are a door that will last 10 years. Always use quality oil based products on WOOD doors.

In all of my years as a door refinisher, I have never seen this. This is NOT a factory refinished door. My poor customer just had his door refinished a year ago and this is what the previous contractor put on it. Guessing it is the stain/polyurethane gel all in one product? Any ideas? In any case, I was able to remove it and stain and top coat it correctly.

Before and after pics (pic 1 before). Another easy door refinishing project accomplished. Dont let you door get this bad. It’s inexpensive to refinish, at $300 vs buying a new door, frame, etc. Let us bring life back to that old dried odd wood door. Really simple. Doors like oil stain - the wood has natural oils that will be depleted over time. Give us a call. You wil not be disappointed.
