Meet Riley Kostiuk, Senior Design Engineer at AMOT Controls.

Riley's been on our actuator team for three and a half years, working on everything from early design and testing on the EH Series to building out the systems that keep quality consistent as production has scaled. But ask Riley what makes the work possible, and the answer isn't any one person; it's the team behind it.

"Between the team, we've got a really wide range of knowledge and design philosophies, and that's what lets us build something as complex as our actuator. If I've got a question, I can lean on Guy or Jesse, and it goes the other way too. Nobody's ever stuck waiting on one person. If I'm busy, whoever's covering for me can pick up right where I left off and keep things moving. That's what lets us develop good products quickly, without cutting corners."

Every mile of downtime is expensive. When a locomotive pneumatic valve actuator fails, the nearest shop might be 200 miles away.

The EH rotary electric actuator operates from −40°C to +125°C, is built to 14.1 GRMS across 10–1000 Hz, and runs a 100% duty cycle at maximum rated load and temperature.
