Now Hiring: Construction Field Lead
Location: Houston
Pay: $32/hr + Bonus
Start: ASAP
We are looking for an experienced construction person who can read plans, operate a skid steer, and work hands-on with the crew in the field.
This position is ideal for someone who is not afraid to work, understands construction drawings, can translate plans into field layout, and can help guide Spanish-speaking crew members when needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Read and interpret construction plans, including architectural, site/grading, foundation, framing, and basic MEP plans
- Lay out and mark dimensions, elevations, setbacks, and work areas on-site
- Identify plan conflicts or field issues and report them to the Project Manager
- Safely operate a skid steer/Bobcat for grading, dirt work, loading, cleanup, trenching, and material handling
- Use attachments such as bucket, forks, auger, and grapple as needed
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections (fluids, tires/tracks, controls), report any mechanical issues, keep equipment clean, fueled, and secured at end of day
- Assist with hands-on construction work including framing, concrete prep, demolition, cleanup, cutting, measuring, and assembly
- Use standard hand and power tools safely and competently
Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years construction experience
- Must be able to read construction blueprints
- Minimum 2 years skid steer operating experience
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Pay: $32/hr + bonus
