Job Summary: A successful manufacturing and glass installation company has an excellent opportunity for an entry level Glazier Apprentice. This position will assist in installing, fitting, fabricating, and attaching architectural products or related substitute products in various sectors including but not limited to industrial, institutional and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will be available to work overtime hours, able to lift 75 pounds and have a strong work ethic.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation and replacement of glass and other glazing materials.
Assist with moving large, heavy, and sharp glass units, aluminum frames, and other materials from truck to storage.
Assist with lifting sharp glass units, aluminum frames, and other material into place.
Develop and maintain familiarity with glass and glazing industry (curtainwall, storefront, entrances, canopies, handrail, skylights and interior glazing).
Ensure jobs are performed safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures using all required safety equipment.
Maintain proper PPE at all times.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Current Aerial Lift and Swing Stage certification preferred but not required.
Personal ownership of typical tools of the glazing trade required.
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, tape measure, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
Ability to work at heights as required.
Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds and stand for an eight (8) to ten (10) hour work shift.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Ability to work overtime and weekends.
Must be 18 or older per OSHA.

Job Summary: A successful manufacturing and glass installation company has an excellent opportunity for a skilled Glazier. This position will be responsible for the quality and efficient installation of commercial glass and related glass products. The ideal candidate will be available to work overtime hours, able to lift 75 pounds and have a strong work ethic.

Essential Responsibilities:

Install aluminum window frames, door frames, unitized window systems, store fronts and curtain walls on building fronts.
Install pre-assembled metal frameworks for doors and windows before glass panel installation using hand tools.
Read and understand blueprints and specifications to know necessary work details, including color, shape, size, type and thickness of glass to be installed, framing location, procedures for installation and any scaffolding or other staging items.
Operate hoists or cranes with suction cups to lift heavy glass units.
Cut and remove old and broken glass before installing replacement glass.
Pack loose areas between glass panels and molding or frames with glazing compound, and trim excess material with a glazing knife.
Lift, hold, and secure glass panels and mirrors into position with putty, cement, screws or bolts.
Troubleshoot and strive to resolve any installation problems that might occur on-site.
Ensure jobs are performed safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures using all required safety equipment.

Job Summary: A successful manufacturing and glass installation company has an excellent opportunity for an entry level Warehouse
Associate. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for ordering, receiving, warehousing, and distributing all inventory items for the company. Additional responsibilities will be tool and equipment management to include distributing, and tracking of tools and equipment, tool repair, and scheduling maintenance/repairs on all company vehicles. The position demands a high level of organization, rationalization and decision making, have the ability to learn quickly, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Maintains order and general upkeep of the tool room. Sorts, places and updates materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined location.
• Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to quantity and quality of products ordered versus quantity and quality received.
• Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using a computer.
• Operates a warehouse forklift to move pallets and load/unload materials.
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
• Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear.
• Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment.
• Marks and identifies tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or marking tool.
• General warehouse duties such as: sweeping, picking up trash, wrapping pallets, stocking, cleaning, etc.
• Maintains proper PPE at all times.

Admiral Glass Company partnered with Almost Home Pet Rescue this year for our Annual Holiday Donation Drive. We had a great success in collecting donations and were able to donate a massive amount of supplies to local fosters in need!

Almost Home Pet Rescue is an all foster based, 501c3 non-profit charity. This means there is no facility where the animals in the rescue are kept - they are with fosters! Their mission is to save as many dogs as possible by rescuing from high kill shelters and the streets of Houston. Rescues are placed into foster homes until they are adopted. They rescue from most of the animal controls in the Greater Houston and Southeast Texas areas. All rescued animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro chipped.
