An AC that simply won't turn on is one of the most stressful calls we get, mostly because it can mean almost anything, from something small to something serious.

Before assuming the worst, there are a few quick things worth checking: the thermostat batteries and settings, the breaker for the AC, and the condensate drain, since a full drain pan will shut some systems down automatically as a safety measure.
