Our Houston interns recently toured Ameritex to learn how reinforced concrete structures and pipe are moved from manufacturing to field application. Across two facilities, they explored different production methods, observed the machinery and manual processes involved, and gained insight into testing procedures used to verify performance and quality standards.

The visit wrapped up with a discussion on reinforced concrete pipe, alternative pipe materials, and how engineers evaluate options based on project needs and long-term performance.

Hands-on experiences like this help build the technical understanding that supports the next generation of infrastructure professionals.

Flood Awareness Week is a reminder that reducing flood risk starts long before the next storm.

LAN’s work on the Lebow Creek Natural Stream Design project in Fort Worth helped transform a flood-prone corridor into more resilient infrastructure through natural stream design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, sediment transport analysis, and channel stabilization improvements.

The project improves public safety, reduces roadway overtopping risks, and restores long-term channel function for the surrounding community.

Marshall ISD marked a major milestone with the ribbon-cutting for Marshall High School.

The ceremony celebrated the completion of the 2023 bond-funded improvements, including extensive campus renovations, a new CTE building and a new auxiliary gym. These upgrades provide modern learning environments and expanded opportunities for students across academic and career pathways.
