This is an interesting one.

We asked whether salary ranges should always be shared upfront…and the response was pretty clear:

Out of over 1,700 responses:

👉 84% said yes
👉 8% said not necessary
👉 8% said it depends

Feels like a bit of a signal, doesn’t it?

People aren’t just curious about salary anymore - they’re expecting clarity. Less guesswork, fewer awkward conversations, and a better sense of whether a role is worth pursuing from the start.

But there’s still that small group holding onto nuance. Context and flexibility matter, and maybe not every role fits neatly into a range box.
