Giving back is about building stronger communities through meaningful, lasting contributions. This holiday season, that spirit was reflected in our support of the Festival of Trees for United Way. 🎄✨

Kuraray America’s Washington Works site sponsored a Christmas tree, “A Berry Merry Christmas”, for the Festival of Trees in support of United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley, an organization dedicated to uniting people and partners to improve health, education, and financial stability across the communities it serves, guided by collaboration, innovation, compassion, accountability, and respect for diversity.

The tree was decorated by family members of Tara Busch and Austin Smith and was recognized with the Contemporary Champion award for this year’s design. It was later auctioned, raising $1,300 to help advance United Way’s work across the Mid-Ohio Valley.

We are proud to support organizations that unite communities and create positive change where it matters.

🥤 Small Boxes. Big Impact. 🥤

Did You Know?🧐 Summer can be an especially difficult time for families facing food insecurity, as older siblings may lose access to school-provided meals. Kids' Meals, Inc. helps bridge that gap by delivering daily lunches to preschool-aged children and, when possible, their siblings, making support like juice box donations especially important this time of year.

This summer, Kuraray America, Inc. (KAI) took on the Juice Box Challenge to support this incredible Houston nonprofit and its mission of delivering free, healthy meals directly to young children’s homes.

Thanks to the generosity of our teams (and a little friendly competition), we collected over 500 juice boxes to help fuel Houston’s youngest community members.

A special thank-you to Merissa Spurgeon for leading the effort and personally delivering the donations on behalf of KAI!

Yesterday marked an important milestone for our 2025 Intern Program as we celebrated the energy, dedication, and contributions our interns have brought this summer!

At Kuraray America, Inc., Intern Day isn’t just a single day—it’s a multi-day tradition.📍Local, remote, and out-of-state interns travel to our Houston, TX, Headquarters to connect in person, making the experience even more meaningful. From lunch with mentors 🍽️ to a fun afternoon at Topgolf 🏌‍♀️, the day was a great mix of learning, connection, and team-building—true to what Kuraray’s culture is all about.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who brings this program to life: our mentors, managers, and program leaders, Ashley Joyner and LaJasmine Fitch. 🙌 Your support plays a vital role in helping our interns grow and thrive.
