Our experience over the years has positioned us as a leader among the industry. In the spring of 1940, Jack Lodge first gained exposure to the lumber industry working with his brother‐in‐law. Some years later, Lodge Lumber
Company merged with a prominent competitor but the plans were short lived. Jack Lodge started over from scratch in the early 1960s with few resources and embarked on a new frontier. The small firm was built around supplying utility contractors with hardwood timbers. With an 8 x 10 building, one forklift, a truck and a pole trailer, Jack’s vision was born. This was the humble beginning of great things to come for Lodge Lumber Company. The business was known for personal service, quality products and efficient delivery. This formula became the foundation of many long lasting beneficial client relationships and the catalyst for continued success. With growing demand from industrial and commercial accounts, a need to stock larger inventory on the most widely used forest products was required. In response to that demand, the 20 acre site on Oates Road was acquired. We are strategically located near the Port of Houston and Bush IAH Airport, allowing us to better serve our customer base.
