Southwest Road & Safety is currently interviewing for the following positions:
Laborer
• Perform tasks involving manual labor for highway and heavy construction projects
• Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools
• Clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials
• Maintain a clean jobsite: Pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
• Performs material handling and storage
• Load and unload trucks: haul and hoist materials
• Ensure proper safety regulations and procedures are being followed, bringing any problems to the attention of the foreman
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Have and maintain a Class C driver’s license
• Have and maintain a good driving record
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 80 LBS and have good stamina
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous labor under adverse field conditions.
• Adaptability to a frequently changing and fast paced environment
• Must be able to work 40-60 hours per week, anywhere between 6–12-hour days- up to 6 days a week: Punctuality is required
• Must be able to adjust to varying work times- ranging from 7pm to 7 am
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to work near heavy equipment and in outside conditions that include inclement weather
CDL Driver/General Laborer
• Load and unload trucks and/or trailers: haul and hoist materials
• Drive crew/haul material to and from job site
• Provide daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers used & be aware of preventative maintenance requirements
• Submit repair requests to Crew Leader & Mechanic
• Keep truck moving as needed, on jobsite
• Maintain required DOT Driver Logs as well as all DOT regulations
• Work alongside crew on jobsites and at the company yard performing tasks involving manual labor for various construction projects
• Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools

• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous labor under adverse field conditions.
• Adaptability to a frequently changing and fast paced environment
• Must be able to work 40-60 hours per week, anywhere between 6–12-hour days - up to 6 days a week: Punctuality is required

Equipment Operator (2)
• Operate a rubber-tire backhoe with auger safely to install sign foundations and guardrail for highway and heavy construction projects
• Operate backhoe with forklift to load, unload, and place material on job
• Must be able to load the backhoe on the trailer daily
• Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools
• Clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials
• Maintain a clean jobsite: Pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
• Performs material handling and storage

Crew Leader/Foreman
• Sign Installation, Metal Beam Guard
• Fence, Crash Cushions and Highway Safety experience.
• Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Foreman leads activities while
working alongside the team to ensure high quality work is completed safely and on schedule.
• CDL drivers WITH Heavy Equipment Operator experience.
• Equipment ranges from backhoes to loaders, Single-Axle Flatbeds to multi-Axle semi.
