✅Ready mix concrete (RMC) concrete that is manufactured in a factory or batching plant, according to a set recipe, and then delivered to a work site by truck mounted transit mixers.
The manufacturing process for ready mix concrete generally follows these steps:
1) Batching – The weighed raw materials are delivered to the plant by trucks and stored in stockpiles. From there, they are fed into electronic weigh hoppers that measure the precise amount needed for each batch.
2) Mixing – The raw materials are combined using a series of rotating paddles inside a horizontal drum mixer. As the paddles rotate, they lift and tumble the material over itself until it reaches an even consistently.
3) Delivery – The finished product is discharged from the bottom of the mixer into waiting truck chutes. It is then transported to the job site within 1-2 hours while still churning on the drum.
