Looking for a Maintenance Mechanic
JOB DESCRIPTION
Classification: Non-Exempt
Position: Maintenance Mechanic
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Date: 03/28/18
Summary/Objective:
The maintenance mechanic position must maintain and repair machines regularly under the supervision and direction of Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
1. Troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components.
2. Read and interpret equipment manuals.
3. Perform required maintenance and scheduled service.
4. Follows prescribed safety regulations.
5. Report breakdown of equipment immediately to Maintenance Supervisor.
6. Reporting of daily activities to Maintenance Supervisor.
7. Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to the outside elements including heat and cold temperatures The noise level in the work environment and job can be loud.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is required to be standing for 8 hours a day. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb, or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Overtime work and weekend work is expected up to 8 to 10 hours a week as needed.
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Experience on milling machine, lathe, welding and general workshop tooling.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Experience as a maintenance mechanic
2. General safety training
