Formed by a merging of the Petroleum Equipment & Services Association, and the Association of Energy Service Companies, the Energy Workforce & Technology Council has a legacy of leadership and advocacy on behalf of energy technology and services companies in the energy supply chain. Founded in 1933 as the American Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association, PESA has been at the vanguard of the energy services sector with industry-recognized workforce development opportunities, and certification programs in leadership development, inclusion and diversity, and ESG. Established in 1956 as the Association of Oilwell Servicing Contractors, AESC has operated through a network of national committees and local chapters to establish itself as a leading voice in safety, technology, environmental performance, insurance, government advocacy, and workforce training. Energy Workforce & Technology Council hosted Congressman Gabe Evans (R-CO-08) for a tour of Halliburton’s Colorado facility and a roundtable discussion led by EWTC President Tim Tarpley on key policy priorities impacting the energy services sector.

The discussion addressed permitting reform, tariffs, workforce challenges and the FIRE Act (H.R. 6387), highlighting the importance of policies that support domestic energy production and strengthen the energy workforce.
